Elevate your teaching

The Great Lakes Suzuki Institute offers a wide variety of teacher development courses in the Suzuki Method for flute and recorder teachers of all experience levels. Development courses will include performance of the repertoire, supervised observations, discussion, and other assignments. Attendees must meet the requirements set by the Suzuki Association of the Americas and are strongly encouraged to review Suzuki philosophy prior the course. Book 1 attendees must also participate in an Every Child Can! course.

Course fees for 2017: Registration fee: $40, Every Child Can $145, Book 1 $530, all other courses $385.

Housing

There are a variety of housing options near the GYMC.

The University of Guelph rents its student housing as part of a summer hostel program. Their dorms are about a 10 minute drive or a 40 minute walk from the GYMC and are the most affordable option:
